SANDY recently retired after twenty-two years of teaching secondary school English in Orange County, Florida. Sandy graduated from high school in Miami, Florida, and she is a graduate of Florida State University. Her major was in English with minors in education and philosophy. While in college, she was a reporter for the college newspaper, The Flambeau.

Well traveled due to her father’s USAF career, Sandy has lived in both south and north Florida, southern and northern California, southern and northern Michigan, Nebraska, Mississippi, Hawaii and Texas. In addition, she has traveled cross country from Florida to Montana and visited Canada, Mexico, Germany, Luxemburg, and Great Britain.

Her interests include reading, writing, travel and photography, and she was a winner of the KINSA photography contest in Fort Lauderdale. Sandy has been a wedding photographer, a caterer’s assistant, a theater and arena usher, and a collector for a hospital in Orlando, FL. With her former husband, she owned and operated an auto parts store. She has acted locally in plays at Theater Downtown, Ice House Theater, and Seminole Community College Theater, and worked backstage at the former Civic Theater of Orlando.

Sandy has a keen eye for grammatical, spelling, and continuity errors in everyday writing as well as in works which have already been published and distributed worldwide. Sloppiness in publishing, whether on paper or the internet, is her pet peeve, and she can be counted on to return to you writing of the highest quality and utmost perfection. In addition, she, like most teachers, is adept at deciphering others’ handwriting and the writing of individuals from countries other than the United States.

Sandy will help you to organize, edit and proofread your research paper and college application letter, but will not write them for you! However, she can and will write business and complaint letters, memos, speeches, and critiques as well as descriptive, editorial, narrative, persuasive, and expository writing, cause and effect papers, dialogues, explanations, job descriptions, and even obituaries.

Sandy welcomes your challenges and looks forward to working with you on your projects.
